Fit
The Align Short mirrors the Align Pant’s fit philosophy: sit against the body with zero compression and let the fabric do all the work. The high-rise waistband is the same 3.5-inch construction — flat, smooth, and stable without rolling. The 6-inch inseam hits mid-thigh on most body types and stays in place during yoga flows, walking, and everyday movement.
The 6-inch length is the sweet spot for most activities. The 4-inch option tends to ride up during seated poses, while the 8-inch and 10-inch lengths overlap with capri territory. Sizing mirrors the Align Pant — if you know your Align size, order the same in the short.
Fabric & Feel
This is Nulu in short form. The 81/19 nylon-Lycra blend is weightless, silky, and genuinely comfortable in warm weather. There’s no compression, no smoothing, no shaping — just ultra-soft fabric sitting against skin. It breathes well and wicks light moisture effectively.
The shorts are not designed for heavy sweating. For hot yoga or HIIT in summer, the Wunder Train Short (Everlux) is the better choice. The Align Short is for low-impact activity and everyday comfort in heat.
Durability
The same Nulu durability concerns from the Align Pant apply here, amplified by the short format. Inner-thigh contact during walking means pilling appears faster in shorts than in full-length tights — expect visible pilling within 4–8 months of regular wear. Wash inside out, cold water, and avoid the dryer.
Value
At $64, the Align Short is one of lululemon’s more accessible price points. Per-yard of Nulu fabric, it’s actually more expensive than the $98 Align Pant, but the lower absolute price makes it an easier purchase. Good entry point for trying Nulu if you’re hesitant to spend $98 on leggings.
Who It’s For
Yoga practitioners who want Nulu in warm weather. Pilates and barre participants who prefer shorts over full-length. Anyone who lives in the Align Pant during cooler months and needs a summer equivalent. Not for heavy training, running, or activities where opacity and fabric stability matter.
